Green Line Continuted

This is a continuation of the recycled silver line that we are working on at North Star. The pendant is a recycled piece of sterling carved into a stylized feather. I strung it on a beautiful piece of soft, turquoise leather, and dressed it up with some lovely faceted gems. This is a very versatile piece with many options; you can wear it at any length and choose to tie the tassels in the front (as pictured), or let them dangle down your back.

Cuff of Boredom

This is the product of my boredom at work when I am left alone with a leather punch! This one is not for sale, because it is not up to my standards to sell it. Although I am going to buy my own leather punch and go to town at home! I also am going to experiment with beads, studs, fabric, chain, . . . etc. All I want to do now is create cuffs! I love them and the hugs that they give your wrist. I think I will be posting some for sale at my website, www.parkerposie.com, for the holiday season.

Harvest Line

My front clasp sphere necklace is made with carnelian, amethyst, silk cord, and a gold fill clasp. I always have loved the idea of the necklace clasp in the front as a focal point. I have made quite a few front clasp necklaces, but I believe that this is one of my most striking. I love the way the large carnelian bead in the front is given lots of movement by being strung on silk cord rather than wire. Below is a detail of the clasp and pendant.

This is my first beaded cuff EVER! And I am in love with it! I was inspired to do something with the large rectangular shaped sponge coral button's. The purple amethysts nearby are a perfect to counter to the bright coral and they also give the cuff a bit of sparkle. Pictured below is the large amethyst bead that I have used to finish off the back of the cuff.

This necklace is very gold and very bling! I really love working with chain, and just recently I have started to work with gold chain. I chose to use a lot of gold for this line because of the fact that gold looks warm against skin, and this line is all about warmth. This necklace is made with amethyst, carnelian, gold fill chain, and a sterling silver clasp.
Here is another piece of jewelry with those fabulous coral buttons. This necklace is very dramatic and long with a contrasting pull of delicate chain and light, sparkly beads against bold, bright coral and thick, brown leather. I often times use this contrast in my work, I almost feel like it was inspired by the love that I have for anything shabby chic. Sorry this one has sold!!
This necklace has so few components, but it is still very bold. The large amethyst bead in the front was my inspiration for this piece. To put even more emphasis on the large bead I framed it with a really beautiful chain. The orange carnelian beads pack a punch on both sides.
I love long, shoulder-tickling dangley earrings. I used silver chain this time to cool down the fiery orange, and to mingle with the soft purple amethysts. This ear wire reminds me of the Thanksgiving cornucopia over flowing with a harvest of bright beauty. Below is a detail of the pair of earrings side by side.Think bubbling blueberry pie, tart cranberry relish, warm pumpkin pie, a bountiful bowl of butternut squash... Ok, ok, I am not supposed to make you hungry, I am supposed to make you beautiful! But this was the basis for the inspiration behind the entire line! I want to give you the feeling of sitting around the table with gorgeous food and all of the people that make you happy. So I pretty much want to give you the warm and fuzzies. To do that I used luscious amethyst and tangy, burnt orange carnelian and coral. To me these colors combined give a feeling of warmth. I love when my eyes dance between the two colors, it is complete bliss. I also used more gold than normal; but this is the perfect time of year to wear gold because of how well it compliments the colors that are changing in nature. I hope that you feel the warmth! Stay tuned, I will be adding a few more pieces to my harvest line debuting at North Star in November.

This is a new line that we are working on at North Star. We are using recycled sterling silver and green, brown, and black accents and elements. This was the first time I had ever recycled metal. I really enjoyed the process of taking something that was considered scrap and turning it into something new and beautiful. I worked intently on making my pieces look carved and distressed. I had a lot of fun with this line, and I am glad to be a part of it.

Pearls, leather, and brown silk

These are some pieces that I created for a recent line. This was the 2nd line that I have been a part of, although this one was very exciting for me because I was creating very similar things prior to learning about this line. So to say the least I was ready to work with rich chocolate leather, stunning silk, and gorgeous pearls! Enjoy!

Lucky Girls

After creating this blog and feeling even more of a part of Angie Star, I just feel so lucky to be a part of such a great team!! I can't wait to use this tool to see all the beautiful creations everyone is making!
