I have been creating lots of lariat necklaces lately. Made for the funky style of the necklace and also for function, these necklaces do bot have any clasps in the back to tangle in your hair! Some I have created with leather, but most with chain. This is a very delicate piece that I created for a friend. I used rutilated quartz, silver beads and chain.
I was inspired one morning, walking to the bus stop, by these tiny little red berries that were perched on thin branches. I tried to recreate the feel of berries with these lovely merlot pearls, and the branches with a light brown silk cord.
I found a great assortment of chain recently. I wanted to create a necklace that would showcase the fun chains, so I looked through some of my sketches and thought that this design would be perfect for that purpose. I used a variety of sterling silver chain, large prenite beads, and smokey gems. This would be a really great party necklace!
I made this necklace for my mom, but I soon realized that I was wearing it all the time. So this ended up being one of the two necklaces that will soon belong to my mother and I. This is a simple necklace made with gray silk cord and moss agate. It is a versatile design to wear to dinner or just to wear to the grocery store. It's colors are mellow and earthy, but the agate beads are faceted and give off lots of sparkle.~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~~ ~ ~~ ~~ ~
